Clean Green Schools Initiative
On Earth Day September 2021, Governor Hochul announced NYSERDA’s Clean Green Schools Initiative program, which provides funding to help public under-resourced schools invest in infrastructure improvements to become healthier, more productive learning environments. The program provides funding for the planning and implementation of projects that reduce energy, decarbonize building operations and improve air quality loads or usage.

Providing technical, financial, and human resource support to help schools in underserved areas evaluate, plan and implement energy efficiency programs and clean heating and cooling projects.
